Background
Here, you'll find both the mission statement and a situational analysis of the subject of this marketing plan. Both artifacts frame the direction of this project, serving as useful background information to the final marketing plan.
The mission of IU Indianapolis Health and Wellness is to support students' overall well-being by offering accessible and inclusive services that promote physical, mental, and spiritual health, fostering growth, resilience, and vitality on campus. In my opinion, this is a strong mission statement as it clearly identifies the target audience (IUI students) and the services provided. I want students to know that IUI offers a wide range of wellness programs, helping them build healthier minds, bodies, and spirits. Our organization strives to be welcoming and show genuine care for the well-being of every student, both on and off-campus.
The proposed student lounge has several strengths, such as its proximity to Ball Hall and Riverwalk Apartments, offering a new space for students to relax and study. However, challenges include potential space limitations and the risk of disruptive behavior. Opportunities exist to repurpose graduate apartments, creating a more inclusive space for students. Threats include competition from JagLine transportation, potential misuse of the lounge, and the complexities of campus building regulations. Overall, the lounge could enhance student life but requires careful planning and consideration.
