Social Media Plan

Instagram

In Instagram, it’s more common for businesses to have a Facebook or Instagram. Since Facebook is now for the older population, I needed to find another platform similar to Facebook. Instagram makes it easier to follow other companies, clubs, and organizations for networking. On Instagram, it is easy to see analytics on who sees your posts and stories. You can also add stories links which are super helpful by directing consumers to a page for more information or your business shop.

Instagram will be used for partnerships and updates for a bigger audience of locals, parents, staff, and students. It will give out Jaguar Lounge updates and links to our events in the lounge. Updates on Instagram stories will be made every Monday. Stories are short and sweet to remind our audience about Jaguar Lounge. The Instagram post will be weekly on Fridays. The weekly posts will be about our new partnership, a picture of the construction progress, or about Jaguar Lounge.

This is IUIJaguarLounge Instagram Story. This will give out important information quickly for anyone who follows us. We will be posting stories at the end of the week on Fridays. The social media creator will create fun questions for people to respond on Instagram. Stories are the fastest way to get people to look at your account. So the social media creator will interview people involved in the project to get students interested in following us.

Intro to Jaguar Lounge

This first post will tell everyone what kind of Instagram profile we are and what we are representing at IU Indianapolis. The account will provide a survey about what students. want most in Jaguar Lounge in our bio. We will create a few hashtags; #JagLounge, #Studyingiscool, and #loungelife. If people post using the hashtags the social media creator will repost it on the Instagram stories. Our post will involve in depth details about the partnerships, Riverwalk Apartments, Ball Hall, IU staff and students.

TikTok

IU Indianapolis trying the latest social media app Tik Tok

TikTok is great for making videos and constantly staying on trend. TikTok videos are easy to share on many other platforms. TikTok is seen by a large audience because of the "for your page". You can also earn funds through the TikTok Creator’s Fund. It is low cost to launch campaigns on TikTok The algorithm changes fast which makes it hard for anyone’s video to be seen on time.

I will use TikTok for educational videos and decision-making voting for our followers. The audience is for IU Indianapolis students. The educational videos will be geared toward studying and facts about IU Indianapolis and Jaguar Lounge. Consumers can vote on design decisions for Jaguar Lounge. The educational videos will show up around the beginning of the semester, midterms, and finals. Weekly videos about Campus life on Tuesdays. The decision-making videos will be at the interior construction of the Jaguar Lounge.

Study Tips at Jaguar Lounge
 

This video will get students excited about studying in Jaguar Lounge. Making trending videos will get our lounge recognized from IU Indianapolis students. TikTok will help us reach people outside of IU Indianapolis. The account will attract people to be interested in our school. The videos will provide fun educational information for students and staff about events, college life, and Indianapolis.

IUI Alumni Partnership

It's fun interacting with IUI students on social media. We wanted to show we appreciate our students at all times. We can also use TikTok to promote involvement from our followers. We will use the same hashtags from Instagram. We will host contest on which follower has the best idea or correct answers on trivia. We can also provide links to other resources and local businesses for follower to support. TikTok would be great to show the mascots doing trending dances.
